My Last 2013 Session

One of my favorite things about my "job", (Can I call it a  job when I love it this much?) is getting to work with families I have worked with before and see how their families are growing. I LOOOOOVE it! Well, this family is one of those families. In April, I was able to do this little man's newborns and then they asked me to do some family pictures for his six month milestone. This cutie definitely had opinions about taking pictures, but as long as one of his parents had him, he was all smiles. And because I had to work to get smiles out of him, I feel like we got some really fun action shots that I don't always get to do with every family and action shots tend to end up being my favorites. :)

This top picture was one of the first ones we snapped and I love it. And little man was cautious of me, but still happy.... The bottom picture was towards the end of the session and he was wanting to be done, but look at that face! Happy or sad, this kid is adorable!

We tried and tried throughout the session to get this guy to smile and we got some great ones!

But mostly he didn't want to be put down in these leaves and feel these things he wasn't used to and what is that scary black thing attached to that lady's face that keeps calling my name!? His mom and I agreed immediately that even him crying was too cute to not snap!

 And then we put him on the bridge and he was okay.....

....for about three seconds. Poor kid was just put through the ringer, but he was still so stinkin' cute!

On an additional note, this little man's dad and my hubs worked together and we spent a weekend together at a work retreat a few days after this session and he was super cautious of me. I had to work and work most of the weekend to get him to like me, but I made it happen! I was determined. :)

An Amazing Engagement Session

I am very behind on my little website here...I've been on a very long and necessary maternity leave. Now that Baby Girl is happy, healthy, and 4 months old, I thought it was time to get back into the swing of things. :)

Last October, I had the privilege of working with these two love birds on their engagement session, plus family pictures. I've known Shay for a little while now and was so, so happy for her when she found Richard because in a nutshell, the guy is a stud! :) They wanted to do something for their wedding invitation that incorporated their kids, so this is what we came up with and I LOVE how it turned out! And I love how excited the kids were to be involved!

This is quite possibly my most favorite family picture I have taken to date. Love the colors on each of them. Love the way the light is hitting them. Love those adorable smiles!

I was also so happy to help them with their wedding invitation. They wanted something more on the simple, yet classic side and I was so excited (and relieved) when they told me they loved how this turned out! I love how they wanted their children to be the ones announcing their marriage. So, so sweet! 

Blue-Eyed Family

Can I just say that I am absolutely in love with this family's eyes!? Seriously, look at the baby blues on these two adorable girls and I dare you to say they are anything but GORGEOUS! I really wish the fall colors stuck around longer. I LOVE fall photo sessions!

L.O.V.E. This Family!

Meet the "M" family. This is one of the cutest families I have met since moving to Colorado. We met them through our church and I'm lucky enough to interact with these kiddos every week through my church calling as the primary music leader and I LOVE them. They are always so cute and well behaved. And Kristy, I've decided we need to put together a girls night out very soon! :) So thanks "M" family for letting me capture you. I hope you love these like I do!

Beautiful Family of 3

I love working with families that have toddlers. That may sound crazy, but I LOVE capturing young ones with their parents. And this little man was SO FUN to play with! I dare you to not smile looking at his face! Thanks "R" family for letting me spend some time with you and capturing your beautiful family!

Sweetest Little Girl!

My great friend was recently blessed with her third baby girl and I was lucky enough to do this little princess's pictures! Heather and I had so much fun doing these pictures with baby Maggie and she was SO easy and accommodating to work with. I have had a lot of boy newborns lately, so this was such a treat for me to do a baby girl with all the pink and bows. :) Loved it! Thanks "H" family for being such awesome friends and for letting me play dress up with your baby girl, especially since I'm surrounded by boys in my house! :)

"R" Family

As of now, I am officially caught up with all these posts to show! Whoo-hoo! After working with this family, I scheduled a little vacation for myself to spend the last week of summer solely with my kiddos and I have been loving it. School started this week and as we are all adjusting to our non-summer schedules, I'm excited to have some kid free time to devote to my work now.

So about this family. Can I just say that they are gorgeous!? These kiddos were pretty easy going too, which makes my job a little more fun. :) Thanks "R" Family!

Sometimes these candid shots or times when I tell Mom and Dad to just play with their kids for a minute end up being my favorite shots because it's truly capturing their life and freezing it forever. Love it.
