An Amazing Engagement Session

I am very behind on my little website here...I've been on a very long and necessary maternity leave. Now that Baby Girl is happy, healthy, and 4 months old, I thought it was time to get back into the swing of things. :)

Last October, I had the privilege of working with these two love birds on their engagement session, plus family pictures. I've known Shay for a little while now and was so, so happy for her when she found Richard because in a nutshell, the guy is a stud! :) They wanted to do something for their wedding invitation that incorporated their kids, so this is what we came up with and I LOVE how it turned out! And I love how excited the kids were to be involved!

This is quite possibly my most favorite family picture I have taken to date. Love the colors on each of them. Love the way the light is hitting them. Love those adorable smiles!

I was also so happy to help them with their wedding invitation. They wanted something more on the simple, yet classic side and I was so excited (and relieved) when they told me they loved how this turned out! I love how they wanted their children to be the ones announcing their marriage. So, so sweet! 

B-E-A-UTIFUL Couple Session

This couple contacted me wanting to do a one year anniversary session, but they added a twist... The bride wanted to get back in her wedding dress and get some more pictures of them all gussied up and beautiful and get some different kind of pictures that they didn't get on their actual wedding day. We correlated quite a bit to make sure we were always on the same page of what our visions were and I am IN LOVE with the final product. These two love birds were so easy and fun to work with and willing to try whatever I wanted to experiment with. And P.S. I LOVE their story of how they met (at church). Loved it. So sweet! So here is a picture overload of my favorites from their session....there are kind of a lot. But I'm only kind of sorry about that. :) Also, I got to do this session two days before celebrating my 9th wedding anniversary, so this session was such a nostalgic treat for me. Loved every second of it! 

Young Love

I had the chance to photograph this cute couple recently. They were so fun and adventurous, letting me try new poses with them and gorgeous! I can't get over her smile; wish I was that beautiful when I smiled! They have been together for about two years and being with them made me feel young again. :) So thanks A & M for brightening my day with your young love!

I can't decide if I like the color or the black and white of this image. Both have things I love about it.

Teeples Session

Prepare to see a photogenic family! We have been blessed to meet amazing friends since our move to Colorado and the Teeples are no exception. We love this family to pieces, so of course I had a blast doing a session with them during Thanksgiving weekend. I could take pictures of these adorable kiddos all day! I am so in love with their baby blues. Thanks Teeples Family for letting me come play!

Fischer Family

My first official photo session in Colorado was for new friends in our new ward. Kim and Aaron's family includes Harley (black and white with Kim) and Buck (mostly black with Aaron) and as far as photographing with animals goes, they were really easy to work with (minus Buck's swim in the river the very first photo attempt, but I was so entertained by him, I just started snapping pictures of his swim.) Kim brought her brother along to keep the dogs entertained when I was working with just Aaron and Kim. Fischer's, you guys were awesome and so much fun. Thanks for being my guinea pigs with some new techniques and poses! I hope to work with you guys again!!! And can I just say how much I LOVE the fall colors all around in these pictures! Gorgeous!!!!

The Larsen Family

This is the awesome Larsen fam. I have known Jay forever and his parents are my like my second parents, so we go way back. I was really excited when Stephanie asked me to do a family session with them on Memorial Day! We did their session both in the morning and afternoon to play with different lighting and I LOVE the turn out. We went to the old abandoned Deseret School and I hope I get to do more sessions there in the future because I loved it. (I even had my own family pictures taken there the night before.)
