My Last 2013 Session

One of my favorite things about my "job", (Can I call it a  job when I love it this much?) is getting to work with families I have worked with before and see how their families are growing. I LOOOOOVE it! Well, this family is one of those families. In April, I was able to do this little man's newborns and then they asked me to do some family pictures for his six month milestone. This cutie definitely had opinions about taking pictures, but as long as one of his parents had him, he was all smiles. And because I had to work to get smiles out of him, I feel like we got some really fun action shots that I don't always get to do with every family and action shots tend to end up being my favorites. :)

This top picture was one of the first ones we snapped and I love it. And little man was cautious of me, but still happy.... The bottom picture was towards the end of the session and he was wanting to be done, but look at that face! Happy or sad, this kid is adorable!

We tried and tried throughout the session to get this guy to smile and we got some great ones!

But mostly he didn't want to be put down in these leaves and feel these things he wasn't used to and what is that scary black thing attached to that lady's face that keeps calling my name!? His mom and I agreed immediately that even him crying was too cute to not snap!

 And then we put him on the bridge and he was okay.....

....for about three seconds. Poor kid was just put through the ringer, but he was still so stinkin' cute!

On an additional note, this little man's dad and my hubs worked together and we spent a weekend together at a work retreat a few days after this session and he was super cautious of me. I had to work and work most of the weekend to get him to like me, but I made it happen! I was determined. :)

Blue-Eyed Family

Can I just say that I am absolutely in love with this family's eyes!? Seriously, look at the baby blues on these two adorable girls and I dare you to say they are anything but GORGEOUS! I really wish the fall colors stuck around longer. I LOVE fall photo sessions!

Brothers...

Last week I had so much fun working with these two brothers. Seriously, can we say photogenic??? Younger brother "R" just turned one (obviously from the pictures we took) and he is ALL BOY! He reminds me of my own boys at this age....just curious, adventurous, and being super happy to explore the world. I love it. Big brother "K" is going to grow up to be a heart breaker! That kid's smile...ADORABLE! I am so happy with how these turned out, and here are my favorites...

I am so in love with this last shot. Mom and Dad had just changed "R" and he was DONE. But how adorable are these two!?

Newborn Baby Boy

Remember this family session? They told me during their first session with me that they were going to be surprised about the baby being a boy or a girl. In the middle of June they welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family! I was able to meet him at only SEVEN days old! There is something so special about being asked to capture a newborn in their first stages of life. It is such a privilege for me, so THANK YOU "G" Family for again letting me into your family.

 Big brother is ADORABLE! He was so easy to work with and super fun.

The day we took these pictures was Big Brother's 2nd birthday, so I had to snap a couple of just him.

Baby Boy was wide awake for most of his individuals. We ran out of time to get a lot of different poses, but the ones we got are priceless.

He was all about stretching out....reminded me of my oldest when he was a newborn. He was the exact same way.

I secretly hope that I get to work with this family again later down the road because I would LOVE to see how this baby boy grows and changes! And seriously Big Brother has kind of stolen my heart away and we are officially buddies. :)

"C" Family Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of spending some time with this family of three last Saturday. Their little boy is just over a year old and he was so cute! I have to admit that when it came to getting him to smile for the camera though, it was all his dad. I loved watching that interaction between him and his parents because you can just see the love he has for them. Thanks "C" Family for yet another great photo session!!!

I seriously LOVE this picture of "H" with his dad!

I have to explain this adorable outfit that "H" wore for the last half of the session. This cute jacket and hat originally belonged to his dad, which were hand made by his mom (H's grandma) and they wanted to get some pictures of "H" in them too. I LOVED IT!

And can I just say that I absolutely LOVE this mama's look!? I loved the color coordination of this family.

Siblings Session

I ended April with this cutie little 9 month old and his big sister. They were both so happy and easy to work with and get smiles out of. I love when my job is entertaining to me! :)
