Reunion Sessions

For the past several years, my in-laws have asked me to be in charge of photography at our family reunions every summer. I love it. They know I feel so comfortable with a camera in my hands and they are so supportive of me striving to improve my photography skills. I took our group family photo as well as shots of each individual family. I feel so lucky and blessed to be part of this amazing group of people and call them family. (I actually took these in 2010. These are my favorite reunion shots I have taken in the past three years, so I'm just sharing these so you get the idea.)

The entire Dekker clan in 2010. There's still the same number today. No new babies yet.

Morgan

I was so excited to do a photo shoot with Morgan. Her mom is one of my very dearest friends here in Henderson and her favorite holiday is Halloween. She asked if I could come and take pictures of Morgan's FIRST Halloween. When I did this shoot, I only had my old point and click digital camera and I was excited with what adorable shots we got! Morgan was so easy to work with. I have a hard time narrowing down my favorites because all of her expressions are just too cute!

Black & Dekker Shoot

As my Christmas gift to my mom, I offered to do a photo shoot of our family to update the picture in her house. We were all together for the first time in six years over Thanksgiving, so we planned our session for the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately my youngest woke up that morning with a fever of 102, so we ended up having to do a spontaneous shoot the last day we were together for the weekend. We had to do the shoot at noon, which was terrible lighting, but we made it work with what we had. We took these pictures in my mom's friend's backyard and I can not wait to go back and do a shoot there this summer when everything is in full bloom! It was beautiful in the middle of winter, I can only imagine how green and amazing it is later this year! I, of course, had to sneak in a few shots of just my family and a couple of ones of my boys to update my own wall.
