Newest Newborn

I had the honor of doing this sweet little girl's newborn session. She was ten days old when we took these last Saturday (Feb. 9th.) The poor thing was so cold (even with a space heater aimed right at her) and rightfully so on a snowy day in Colorado, so we kept her in a blanket the whole time to keep her asleep. It limited us a little on what poses we could do, but I hope Mom and Dad are happy with these mementos. What a photogenic family! Thanks, "M" and "S" for letting me be part of such a precious milestone. Welcome to the world, Baby "M!"

Fun Family Session

I had the pleasure of doing this family session last Saturday. I had so much fun, in fact, that I had all their editing done by Monday night! That is definitely a record for me. I was nervous before this session simply because I have never done a family session with kids being in the double digits with their age, but these two brothers were so awesome and fun. They were so good to go with the flow and do what I asked and in return when they asked if they could have some pictures of them in the tree, I was only more than happy to oblige. They were such awesome little gentlemen and it is a definite testament to their parents, who were also so much fun to work with. It was a great experience for me and I am happy with how their pictures turned out, especially for it being the middle of winter! Thank you, "J" Family for letting me capture your family!

New Backdrops

Last night I finally set up my indoor studio in the basement and my boys had fun being my guinea pigs. My hubs helped me with my light placement and reflectors, so the whole family was in on the action. I bought these backdrops before I had anything to hold them up, so it was really fun to finally get them out and see what they look like through the lens. These are my favorites:
